| Because
Wraith speakers were designed from the ground up, with no preconceived limits on materials
or technology, they look very different from traditional speakers. Most notably,
they're thin. Extremely thin. The panel at the heart of every Wraith home theater
speaker is only 3/8" thick. Since the speaker can be configured to either
stand on the floor, hang on the wall, or mount in the wall, it can be easily introduced into
a wide variety of listening environments without needing heavy cables or special mounting
requirements. In addition to blending well with other decor, the speaker's
compatibility with a variety of supporting equipment, e.g. amplifiers, receivers,
subwoofers, etc., all of which can be easily concealed, means the entire sound system can be
virtually hidden from sight, or proudly displayed as the state of the art, yet unobtrusive, system it is. |

But as
different as the exterior of our speakers may be, the real difference lies beneath the
surface. Compared to conventional cone speakers, the diaphragm of a Wraith
speaker has a very low mass. The result is a much faster transient response time
and a more accurate reproduction of the sound. Wraith speakers reproduce the most
accurate square wave of any commercial sound transducer available. And where a cone speaker is often
taxed by having to simultaneously reproduce a wide range of frequencies, the design of
Wraith speakers allows them to reproduce each signal, each note, independently. The
result is a more realistic, unfiltered presence and clarity that carries well from room
to room.
There's a difference between listening and hearing, just as there's a difference between
an audiophile and a person with a vast collection of music. Wraith speakers are for those who hear the difference. |
